SharkBite 3/4" Lead-Free Brass Barb Insert Coupling is designed to connect two pieces of 3/4" cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing. It features secure barb ends that can be attached to PEX pipes using TV# 608826 Cinch Clamps and TV# 608743 Cinch Tool, or copper crimp rings and a crimp tool. The coupling is immediately testable to well over 100 PSI and meets the new NSF/ANSI Standard 14-2009 and ASTM F 1807-9SI Standard for products intended for the transport of potable water. It also complies with ANSI/NSF Standard 61 Annex G for lead-free compliance, and the wetted surface of the product contains less than 0.25% of lead by weight, meeting AB1953 California and VT S152 Vermont low lead restrictions. Made of lead-free DZR brass, this coupling is a cost-effective and easy-to-install solution for connecting to PEX tubing. It is compatible with both stainless steel clamp systems and copper crimp ring systems.
